Blue Moon vs Coors Light

As I'm sitting here with my roommates on a Thursday night playing NBA Live and drinking before we go out, trying to think of a way to get my last 4 points needed for this assignment it hits me, why not write about the economics of quality over quantity and how this idea changes as the night progresses. So to start the night off I like to enjoy "A refreshing, unfiltered wheat ale brewed and spiced in the Belgian tradition," aka a Blue Moon (cited from the top of the Blue Moon bottle). But after a couple of these my mindset changes from quality to quantity. After thinking about this I thought that this has to be due to a combination of the law of diminishing returns and my blood alcohol level. Each Blue Moon is worth less and less to me as the night continues, and at some point my preference and my wallet decides to switch to from quality to quantity. Knowing this, it makes me wonder if I had unlimited resources, money, would my preference change or would I choose quality and quantity?

  1. For what it's worth, I think I discovered the best of both worlds in cans High Gravity Hurricane Lager. They taste pretty good, much better flavor than Natty or Busch, but they're 8.1% alcohol. They're tall boys, 24 oz, so you figure you're getting just under four beers a can. How much does it cost you ask? $1.20.

So, if you want to drink a lot and on the cheap, buy 2-3 of those babies and you should be pretty good for the night at an expense under five bucks. It's the greatest value of all time.
